Following a refresher session on Modus furniture, our team decided to shine the spotlight on them and feature their products on our platform.
Modus specializes primarily in workplace furniture tailored for breakout spaces. Although their manufacturing plant is situated in Cricket St James, Somerset, their designs often embody a Scandinavian aesthetic. With 22 years of experience, they recently attained B Corp certification, underscoring their commitment to Design, Quality, British Manufacturing, and Sustainability. To facilitate informed decisions, they've developed environmental product summaries for their entire collection, allowing customers to easily identify products with the highest renewable or recycled content.
With sustainability at the forefront, Modus has ensured the longevity of eight of its seating ranges by incorporating removable covers, some of which are so incredibly well-engineered and tailored, that you'd think they were fixed to the seat.
The Bob stool is part of a charitable initiative, the ‘Give Back Scheme’ with 5% of profits donated to charitable organisations. Wooden offcuts from the factory are donated and repurposed into children's toys.
Distinguished by their innovative practices, Modus stands out as one of the few manufacturers to have designed a soft seating product without foam. Excitingly, Modus is introducing new products that embrace a circular approach to upholstery with the launch of Maluma, a playful seating system by Swedish designers Claesson Koivisto Rune.
