The City of London Freemen's School is an independent co-educational school for children aged 7 to 18, founded in 1854. The refurbishment of the 6th form area gave Momentum the chance to work on this great project with Hawkins Brown Architects. The project was funded by the City of London Corporation.
Momentum supplied furniture for a range of different areas including common rooms, lounges, changing rooms and dining areas. The spaces needed to be practical and functional whilst complimenting the historic building with a modern and spacious new look. Lockers provided pupils with places to store belongings and common areas provided places to engage with other pupils or work in less formal settings.
Recently Momentum have also supplied furniture for the newly refurbished classrooms and study spaces as well as seating for the auditorium. Again, it was important to keep the look simple, and resistant to every day use. The furniture came from Sancal, Ryan Furniture, Garran Lockers, Vitra and Senator Elios chairs in the auditorium.
