Llanelly House is located in the heart of Llanelli and is one of the most outstanding early Georgian buildings in Wales. Built in 1714, this Grade I listed building has intriguing architecture and evidence of changing building styles. From the Jacobean Era, Llanelly House has seen additions and improvements through the ages, which has resulted in a stunning Georgian mansion whose stature and grounds dictated the map of the town itself.
This beautiful landmark underwent a large restoration and refurbishment which began in 2010 led by archiects from Austin Smith:Lord. Guided by the Carmarthen Heritage trust with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Llanelli town council, Carmarthenshire county council and a grant from the Welsh Assembly the restoration has been a massive success and offers a truly unique heritage experience. The building was opened to the public in 2013 and has since won the RICS Wales Project of the Year Award 2014 and the Rics Wales Building Conservation Award 2014.
Momentum supplied the simple tables and chairs for the restaurant from Pedrali and Andreu World; the idea was to keep the look simple and modern but not detract attention from the building itself.
