Timber Yard, Bristol
Location: Bristol, UK

Timber Yard brings 709 new student beds to Bristol’s Temple Quarter, beside the historic Feeder Canal and a ten-minute walk from the University of Bristol’s new campus.
Designed by AHMM with interiors by StudioHIVE and delivered by HG Construction, the scheme wraps ensuite and studio rooms around a 0.75-acre landscaped courtyard, with a roof terrace above and a full programme of amenity spaces within.
Momentum supplied furniture for the amenity spaces, working with the architects and designers to furnish the reception areas, social lounges, games areas, karaoke rooms, media suite and private dining areas, along with collaborative, social and quiet study spaces. Each space was specified to suit its use, from relaxed lounge seating and games furniture to hard-wearing pieces for dining and study, and coordinated across brands and finishes to the designers’ look and feel.
Operated by Prestige Student Living, the building gives residents a real mix of places to study, socialise and unwind, a short walk from Temple Meads station and Bristol’s bars, cafés and restaurants.
